Wedding Photography at the Tithe Barn, Bedfordshire
Jennifer and David’s wedding at the Tithe Barn in Bedfordshire was relaxed and traditional. The Wedding day focus on family and fun with the children. The day’s spirit was to encourage people to ‘pick a seat, not a side’. Bringing both families together throughout the day. The wedding day was geared towards people and not objects. One of Jennifer’s requests during the pre-wedding consultation was that the photography focuses on emotions. Which I endeavoured to provide with the final gallery.
There was lots of children at this wedding and personally I like it when couples invite children to a wedding; they’re always so excited to be part of the fun. You sometimes find with weddings is that people don’t always want to invite children. The reason they will be running around, making a noise and making a mess. Honestly, they bring a joyous and chaotic energy which makes for great wedding photos.
The day started at the family home, just a stones throw away from the Tithe Barn. With lots of people and children getting ready I was not lacking for photographic opportunities. After everyone was ready and jumped onto the Bus the rest of the day was all held at the barns itself.
The Tithe Barn
The Barns Hotel (now known as the Kingfisher) has one of the best locations in the Bedford area for weddings. On the banks of the picturesque River Great Ouse, the 13th century Barn has tranquil setting with landscaped gardens and a river located behind. The Tithe Barn is a perfect venue for a wedding with a traditional or rustic vibe an ideal setting for couples wanting a bit of history with their location.
